Samsung plasma screen Costco
Â
I bought a Samsung Pn50c550 last Thursday from Costco(Canada),from day two, there was a really small dot on the screen but we chose to ignore it since it isn’t visible unless you are closeup. I got worried so I decided to research the matter, only to discover that I have an internal crack and that it is a common problem with Samsung tv‘s. I want to return it and get it replaced with the same model (its a great tv) but I read up and everyone say’s that Samsung customer support is harsh and does not cover “physical damage”. My question is, if I go to Costco, will the accept my return and replace my tv, or should I just return it and get a refund and keep the crack thing on the hush hush ![]()
I bought my tv exactly one week ago.

Should be no problem at all as long as it is not evident that you caused the problem, and that doesn’t appear to be the case. Box it up in the original packaging, take it to the customer service desk with your receipt, and you should be able to walk out with a no-charge replacement at the same time.
I did this very thing a few months ago with a small Samsung that had really poor audio output. Nothing wrong with it other than weak audio from tiny speakers. Didn’t like that. Took it back after 45 days. Full refund, no problem.
costco and sams club are usually VERY good about this sort of thing. i would take it to them before i would call samsung. return it and buy a Vizio instead.
The only problem with returning things at Costco is standing in a long line. Otherwise, they’re very good a taking things back, epecially if it’s only been a week. Also, if Samsung has this issue that occurs a lot, I would look at getting a different brand instead.
Your TV was probably damaged in delivery. Plasma TV’s should never be laid down as the weight can break the screen, which I think is what has happened in your case.So I would start with who delivered it?
